ELECMAN ® UL1242 ANSI C80.6 HDG Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC Conduit)
Applications
ELECMAN® Medium-wall IMC conduit is more lightweight than heavy-wall RMC metal conduit, but it offers a comparable level of strength. It protects wire and cable in long runs along building walls and floors in heavy-duty applications like industrial manufacturing facilities. It can also be used outdoors and for direct-burial applications, or it can provide structural support for electrical cable, panels, and other equipment. IMC has one threaded male end and one threaded female connector. Uncoupled ends are covered by industry color-coded thread protectors, which keep them clean and sharp and aid in trade size recognition.
Features

- The outside is galvanized for corrosion protection and the inside has an approved corrosion-resistant organic coating.

- Protects insulated electrical conductors and cables from magnetic fields, impact damage and crushing.
- IMC conduit connects with threaded type connectors for indoor and outdoor use.
Certifications and Compliances
ELECMAN ® UL1242 ANSI C80.6 electrical 3/4 inch IMC conduits shall be carbon steel, electrically welded, galvanized and produced to the following specifications:
- American National Standards Institute, Inc.-ANSI C80.6.
- Underwriters Laboratories Standard for Electrical Metallic Tubing.-UL1242.

Raw Material
ELECMAN ® Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) is produced from Carbon structural steel (Q195).
Chemical Composition

Manufacturing Process
ELECMAN ® Intermediate Metal Conduit (IMC) is manufactured according to the following production process:
Quality Control
Every ELECMAN people know deeply the core value of ELECMAN is to provide high quality products to customers, that is why ELECMAN QC departments have very strict quality controlling process, from raw material to products, ELECMAN QC department supervise every process, make sure every process follow the standard, for IMC conduits, QC department need to inspect the dimensions, welding line, zinc coatings and bending feature.
Packing Information
IMC conduits are packed in bundles with woven bag, we also can put customers’ sticker on pipes, on woven bag, we will put a big sticker with detailed information for customers to distinguish different sizes. For regular packing information, please check the Table 2.
